"ITC Learning Releases New Web Based Skills-Gap Assessment System"

"New Partnership with ComWorks Multimedia"

McLean, VA -- ITC Learning ("ITC Learning") and ComWorks Multimedia, Inc. of Birmingham, MI today announced the joint release of their newly developed ComWorks Web-Based Assessment System. The Web-Based Assessment System is the initial product of an intellectual property sharing agreement initiated in 2002.

The assessment system was developed to provide readily available skills-gap analysis capabilities to all organizations, regardless of size. It is based on the thousands of performance-based objectives and technical skills requirements developed by ITC Learning during nearly three decades of design and development.

"For years, our customers have requested a better way to identify specific training needs," commented Bruce Guenther, President and Founder of ComWorks Multimedia. "With the advent of the Internet, both ComWorks Multimedia and ITC Learning can now afford all organizations the opportunity of analyzing their training needs before, during and after their formalized training programs."

The process of identifying skill-gaps and self-generating prescriptions to address those gaps is defined as "Targeting Your Training." A White Paper is available at http://www.comworksonline.com/pdf/target.pdf

The ComWorks Assessment System features a 7000-plus question database of performance based questions along with the software tools to administer and deliver those questions via the Web. The topical focus of the assessment system is industrial skills: Electrical Maintenance, Mechanical Maintenance, and Instrumentation.

ITC Learning develops and markets workplace learning for business, education and government and is headquartered in McLean, Virginia.
