Elevating Work Platforms (1-2 hours of training)

This comprehensive interactive multimedia-training program consists of one lesson that provides general awareness training for all employees who may operate powered platforms. It covers the operation and inspection of working platforms, recognition and preventive measures for safety risks, emergency action plan procedures and personal fall arrest systems.

Audience: This program is mandatory training for all employees who operate and maintain powered platforms.

Prerequisites: This lesson is designed so that no prior knowledge is required.

Objectives:

  • Describe the fundamentals of powered platform employer assurance, including the affected parts of buildings, equipment, inspection and tests, and maintenance
  • Describe the principles of safe operations, including using platforms with intermittent stabilization systems, determining the need for repair and replacement, and identifying the types of stabilization tie-ins
