Course 1 – Piping – Part 1

Prerequisites: This program is designed for persons who are familiar with the nomenclature and uses of basic hand tools and precision measuring instruments.

Description: This comprehensive DVD training program covers the fabrication and installation of tubing and pipe, the installation of insulation and the repair of steam traps, strainers and heat exchangers. This program focuses on preparing for tubing system repair, tubing connections, threading pipe and pipe assembly.



Course 2 – Piping – Part 2

Prerequisites: This program is designed for persons who are familiar with the nomenclature and uses of basic hand tools and precision measuring instruments.

Description: This comprehensive DVD training program covers the fabrication and installation of tubing and pipe, the installation of insulation and the repair of steam traps, strainers and heat exchangers. This program focuses on general maintenance and insulation removal, elbow removal and installation, insulating a flange and applying cloth and plastic-lined piping.



Course 3 – Piping – Part 3

Prerequisites: This program is designed for persons who are familiar with the nomenclature and uses of basic hand tools and precision measuring instruments.

Description: This comprehensive DVD training program covers the fabrication and installation of tubing and pipe, the installation of insulation and the repair of steam traps, strainers and heat exchangers. This program focuses on inverted bucket trap disassembly and reassembly, impulse steam trap piston-type and disc type, the duplex strainer and the edge-type strainer.



Course 4 – Piping – Part 4

Prerequisites: This program is designed for persons who are familiar with the nomenclature and uses of basic hand tools and precision measuring instruments.

Description: This comprehensive DVD training program covers the fabrication and installation of tubing and pipe, the installation of insulation and the repair of steam traps, strainers and heat exchangers. This program focuses on cleaning steam condenser tubes, cutting and collapsing a tube for removal, replacing a tube and gauge glass replacement.



Course 5 – Valves – Part 1

Prerequisites: This program is designed for persons who are familiar with the basic construction and nomenclature of valves. It is recommended that persons should have successfully completed: Module 1, Rigging and Lifting and Module 3, Packing and Seals, or their equivalents.

Description: This comprehensive DVD training program covers procedures for disassembly, inspection, repair and reassembly of several valves. The program shows how typical maintenance operations are performed on the various valves. The program also focuses on gate valve construction, disassembling the gate valve, lapping the gate valve disc and checking contact between the gate valve disc and seats.



Course 6 – Valves – Part 2

Prerequisites: This program is designed for persons who are familiar with the basic construction and nomenclature of valves. It is recommended that persons should have successfully completed: Module 1, Rigging and Lifting and Module 3, Packing and Seals, or their equivalents.

Description: This comprehensive DVD training program covers procedures for disassembly, inspection, repair and reassembly of several valves. The course shows how typical maintenance operations are performed on the various valves. This program also focuses on glove valve construction, inspection, reassembly and removing and disassembling the globe valve bonnet assembly.



Course 7 – Valves – Part 3

Prerequisites: This program is designed for persons who are familiar with the basic construction and nomenclature of valves. It is recommended that persons should have successfully completed: Module 1, Rigging and Lifting and Module 3, Packing and Seals, or their equivalents.

Description: This comprehensive DVD training program covers procedures for disassembly, inspection, repair and reassembly of several valves. The course shows how typical maintenance operations are performed on the various valves. This program also focuses on control valve construction, disassembling the control valve, reassembly and installing the control valve.



Course 8 – Valves – Part 4

Prerequisites: This program is designed for persons who are familiar with the basic construction and nomenclature of valves. It is recommended that persons should have successfully completed: Module 1, Rigging and Lifting and Module 3, Packing and Seals, or their equivalents.

Description: This comprehensive DVD training program covers procedures for disassembly, inspection, repair and reassembly of several valves. The course shows how typical maintenance operations are performed on the various valves. This program also focuses on diaphragm valve construction and disassembly, butterfly valve construction, disassembly and inspecting and reassembly.



Course 9 – Relief Valves – Part 1

Prerequisites: This program is designed for persons who are familiar with the nomenclature and uses of basic hand tools and precision measuring instruments. It is recommended that persons should have successfully completed: Module 1, Rigging and Lifting and Module 8, Valves, or their equivalents.

Description: This comprehensive DVD training program covers the procedures for removing a pressure relief valve from a system, and the overhaul procedures for a typical safety valve and an electrically-operated relief valve. The program also focuses on blue checking the seat and disc, performing spindle runout, reassembly and installing and setting.



Course 10 – Relief Valves – Part 2

Prerequisites: This program is designed for persons who are familiar with the nomenclature and uses of basic hand tools and precision measuring instruments. It is recommended that persons should have successfully completed: Module 1, Rigging and Lifting and Module 8, Valves, or their equivalents.

Description: This comprehensive DVD training program covers the procedures for removing a pressure relief valve from a system, and the overhaul procedures for a typical safety valve and an electrically-operated relief valve. The program also focuses on blue checking the pilot valve, making valve seat repairs, reassembly and installation.



Course 11 – Advanced Pipefitting – Part 1

Prerequisites: This program is designed for persons who are familiar with standard maintenance procedures for piping, the use of hand tools and measuring instruments, general shop practices, mechanical print reading and alignment.

Description: This comprehensive DVD training program covers the construction and maintenance of piping systems. The course shows the various maintenance activities being performed on actual plant equipment and focuses on an introduction to pipefitting, blueprints, piping materials, and cutting methods.



Course 12 – Advanced Pipefitting – Part 2

Prerequisites: This program is designed for persons who are familiar with standard maintenance procedures for piping, the use of hand tools and measuring instruments, general shop practices, mechanical print reading and alignment.

Course 13 – Advanced Pipefitting – Part 3

Prerequisites: This program is designed for persons who are familiar with standard maintenance procedures for piping, the use of hand tools and measuring instruments, general shop practices, mechanical print reading and alignment.

Description: This comprehensive DVD training program covers the construction and maintenance of piping systems. Course 14 – Advanced Pipefitting – Part 4

Course 15 – Motorized Valve Actuators – Part 1

Prerequisites: This program is designed for persons who are familiar with basic hand tools, rigging and lifting equipment, bearings and lubrication, electrical print reading, AC/DC theory and safety practices when working with equipment.

Description: This comprehensive DVD training program covers maintenance, adjustments and operational tests and troubleshooting of motorized valve actuators. This program focuses on valve actuators, mechanical and electrical components, removing a valve actuator and disassembly and reassembly.



Course 16 – Motorized Valve Actuators – Part 2

Prerequisites: This program is designed for persons who are familiar with basic hand tools, rigging and lifting equipment, bearings and lubrication, electrical print reading, AC/DC theory and safety practices when working with equipment.

Description: This comprehensive DVD training program covers maintenance, adjustments and operational tests and troubleshooting of motorized valve actuators. This program also focuses on limit switch and torque switch adjustments, operational tests, mechanical troubleshooting and electrical troubleshooting.
